I took the plunge to create my own shawl in the knit together. Bought the patterned and ready to go...then I realized that it is more a discussion board than a video demonstrating the process. Live and learn...
So here I go! Pulling up my big girl panties, jumping in and going to learn this! I have my circular needles ready. That said, I've never done circular needles. Do I need to put a marker on at the end of the row. I am YouTubing a lot but is there anyone with recommendations where I can learn this the most efficiently? Nothing like signing up to do a project to get your mojo revved up!
We're here to help, Karen! Any questions at all. 💗
This is a good You Tube video demonstrating knitting flat on circular needles.

Straight needles and rows and not toes!!!!!
No not at the end of a row, because you are not marking beginning of a tube, this is more like sttaught needle knitting. However there are increases and decreases at the beginnings and endings at each toe as you buil your triangle…… I use markers at intervals like every 15,18 or 20 stitches inthe middle of the rows, so that I don’t have to count every single row and every single stitch…..as the ends meet the interval criterion, I add markers at the ends……
